Our Vision

Our church is located in an area that is in desperate need of rebuilding and spiritual awakening. Some of the programs and ministries we currently offer address these needs. However, we also recognize that barriers exist that keep us from effectively connecting with our community. We must also accept that some of our programs that have been strong no longer meet these needs. We need to strengthen the presentation of ourselves as a worshipping and serving body that loves and cares for our neighbors.

Worshipping God is the center of our life of faith. We will work to ensure that how we worship meets the needs of those in our church and is inviting to our neighbors. We envision a day when people from throughout our diverse community find our church an exciting place to worship. Toward this end, contemporary and traditional worship forms will be implemented to touch the hearts of all people.

Our children and youth are a vital part of our community and our church. Our members as well as the community long for ministries that will assist them in developing more effective parenting skills. We will build upon our current youth and children's ministries offering a broader array of family events. The community strongly desires recreational and sports activities for children, youth, and adults in a safe environment. What better place to find such activities than through our church! Additionally, there is an expressed interest in theological discussions, bible studies and family support ministries in the community and the church.

The successful development of such ministries requires effective communication with the community and within the church. We must consider cutting edge methods for communicating who we are and what we offer in terms that are understood and appreciated.

We will find ways to partner with other churches and community groups to develop and improve the spiritual health and wholeness of our community.

We envision a community that is growing toward completeness in Christ.

This is our vision.
