Youth Ministry

August, 2008

 Wow! We have completed our summer mission trips to Daytona Beach, Fl and San Ramon, Costa Rica. We saw God move in some amazing ways. First, it was before we even went as we saw Him work through you in providing support in different ways for the trip to even happen. Thank You! When we served, we saw God working among us as we connected with children, the eldery, the homeless, and the mentally handicapped of Daytona Beach. Down in Costa Rica, He empowered us to create our own VBS to children and to mix and make concrete floors for three different homes that previously only had mud floors. We also saw him working in us, and we would like to share with you our amazing experiences this month! On Sunday, August 17th, we want you to come expecting an amazing service as we share through song, testimony, and video about our mission trips called DREAM and MOVE. Immediately after the 10 am service, we will have a special extended DVD presentation from our international trip to Costa Rica that we made with the Methodist Church of the Palm Beaches. Don’t forget too that every day is to be a mission trip right where we are as well.

Also, we will be having our annual SNATCH to welcome our 6th graders who are moving up! It will be held early Saturday, August 16th. Please call the Youth Office for more info!

Primary Ministries

IMPACT:
This event takes place on Wednesday nights for 6th ­ 8th graders from 7:00-8:30pm, and Sunday nights for 9th-12th graders from 7:00-8:30pm. The Impact nights are a time of fellowship and topical lessons. This is an open event to all students.

Ministry Teams:
Ministry teams are focused on helping students be involved in hands-on ministries at Good Shepherd. These could be such teams as: Habitat for Humanity, encouragement, video, drama, praise band, greeters, babysitting, prayer, etc.

The Bible is clear that we are all called to be ministers. Therefore. if you are breathing. you are eligible to be involved at Good Shepherd. We are looking for people.
