Destination Destiny
March, 2010 What is going on in Children’s Ministry? In Children’s Church, we are in the middle of a series of lessons called Zooplosion. We are learning that we should take care of what God has given us because He has given us everything; that God will provide for us when we are obedient; that God will give us the courage to do what He wants us to do so we should not be afraid to obey Him; that God provides warnings in our life so we can make good choices, so we should be watchful for them; that God provided Jesus to lead us and guide us; that God provides salvation to everyone, but that Jesus is the only way to heaven; that we should ask for forgiveness from others and from God if we make wrong choices; and that God has a plan for each of our lives. Awana is going well. The children have been learning many Bible verses and earning a lot of awards for their hard work. At the end of the month, we will start preparing for our annual grand prix race night. The children will receive their car kits so they can start making them for the big race in April. I would like to encourage you to start bringing your children to Sunday school each Sunday morning at 8:45. I know it is a little early, but it is a great opportunity for your children to learn about the Bible. Sunday school is different than Children’s Church, it is a time for children to participate in hands-on learning. Why don’t you give it a try.? There are several adult classes for parents to join, as well.
Good Shepherd United Methodist Church Our Vision:To partner with God, parents and the church to bring children to their full destiny in Christ Jesus. Our Mission:To teach all children in our community about having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. We seek to teach scripture in such a way that it becomes evident in the choices they make at home, at school and at play. We desire to empower them to minister Christ to others. We want to build safe and positive relationships between the children and the Good Shepherd Children's Ministry Team.
